Eve: ¿A qué edad te diste cuenta que querias ser músico profesional? Curtis: Más o menos como a los diesiocho o diesinueve años. Eve: ¿Cuántos y cúales instrumentos tocas? Curtis: Conga, bongo y timbales. Eve: ¿Con qué artistas haz disfrutado trabajar más? Curtis: En verdad, pues fijate, con Marc Anthony, yo he disfrutado
más porque he tenido la oportunidad de viajar mucho. No que estoy lambiendo
ojo, pero es la verdad Eve: ¿Quién o qué te inspira a nivel creativo? Curtis: Mis hijos. Eve: ¿Cuántos hijos tienes? Curtis: Tres. Dos barones, y una hembra. Eve: ¿Estan interesados en la música? Curtis: La nena sí, ya está tocando. Eve: ¿Haz participado en los juegos de softball de Marc? Curtis: YEP!! Jugué en todos! Eve: ¿Qué posición jugaste? Curtis: Izquierda, centro y derecha. Eve: Qué ha sido lo más memorable de tu carrera hasta la fecha? Curtis: (díce él espontaniamente) Bueno, tocar con Marc! Eve: ¿Qué tipo de música escuchas? Curtis: Latin Jazz. Yo oigo mucho la música Caribean Jazz. Eve: Muchos miembros del conjunto han compartido unos cuentos
muy chistosos sobre sus giras. ¿Qué ha sido lo más extraño o chistoso
que haz visto cuando estuvieron en gira? Curtis: Yo creo los momentos que tuvimos jugando softball. Porque
habian muchos muchachos que nunca habian cogido un bate en sus manos,
ni un guante. Y Creo que muchos disfrutaron de eso. Eve: ¿Cómo te sientes cuando regresas a tu hogar en la Isla
a tocar? Eve: ¿De qué pueblo eres? Curtis: Soy de Humacao. Eve: ¿Dónde queda Humacao? Curtis: Queda en el area este. Eve: A lo mejor esta pregunta te va a poner rojo porque se que
eres muy tímido. ¿Sabes que tú, Bobby y Eric les llaman "Los Bongo Babes"?
¿Cómo te sientes tener ese título? Curtis: (se rie) Bueno, me siento muy agradable trabajar al
lado de dos compañeros que son tremendos. Tremendos músicos. ¡Y wow,
no lo sabia! En verdad esa pregunta me hizo ruborísarme un poco. Eve: ¿Tienes un mensaje que quieres expresarle a tus admiradores? Curtis: Muchas gracias por el apoyo, no sabía que tenia gente
interesada en lo que hacemos. Lo agradezco. Eve: YouSingTo Me, dice: ¡Hola Curtis! ¿Aparte de Marc Anthony,
con cúal músico, vivo o muerto, quisieras tocar? Curtis: Tito Puente. Eve: Totally, pregunta- ¿Curtis, nos puedes decir cúales son
las caracteristicas que admiras o disfrutas en aquellos que llamas amigos? Curtis: ¿Solamente del grupo? Eve: No importa, amistades. Curtis: Sinceridad, y que tengan buen humor. A mi me gusta reir
mucho. Eve: Tammy928, pregunta- ¿Haces giras con otros artistas aparte
de Marc o trabajas grabando en un estudio con artistas? Curtis: Kevin Ceballo y muchos artistas que vienen de Puerto
Rico. Eve: Penny Rie, pregunta- ¿Cómo ha sido para ti, ser parte del
conjunto de Marc y la experiencia de sentir el amor de La Familia y
MAF? Curtis: Me siento parte de la Familia. Es muy bonito, y estoy
muy agradecido de ser parte de la familia. Eve: Delta dice- Primero, gracias por dejarnos hacer estas preguntas.
Una pregunta es muy dura pero, ¿Quiero saber cómo empezaste en este
negocio y cómo te encontraste en el conjunto de Marc? Curtis: Empezé con la música muchos años atrás. No profesionalmente.
Lo cogi como joven. Eve: ¿Aprendiste a tocar en la escuela? Curtis: No, no en la escuela. El talento vino naturalmente.
No cogi clases, pero estudie con maestros. Eve: Tracey1015, pregunta- ¿Qué pensamientos corren por tu mente
cuando tocas esa dulce música? Curtis: Simplemente miro al público a ver si la gente esta disfrutando
y gozando. Eve: Bueno me imagino que ustedes gozan más cuando ven a la
gente bailando, cantando y disfrutando. Curtis: ¡Seguramente! Eve: ¿Entonces no estas pensando en lo que vas a cenar? Curtis: (se rie) ¡No, no! Eve: Kristina pregunta: ¿Curtis, por que eres el unico "bongo
babe" que se sienta? (LOL) Curtis: (se rie) Eve: Kristina es bien chistosa! Curtis: Fijate, he pensando en eso mucho. Regularmente ese instrumento
se toca sentado. Y ahora voy a tener un "stand". Y como soy el único
que me siento, me siento vago. Eve: Esas son todas las preguntas de las muchachas. Te agradezco
mucho por tú tiempo. Curtis: ¡Te lo agradezco a tí! Translation: Eve: At what age did you realize you wanted to be a professional
musician? Curtis: Probably around 18 or 19 years old. Eve: How many and which instruments do you play? Curtis: Conga, bongo and timbales. Eve: Which artists have you most enjoyed working with? Curtis: Well to be honest, with Marc Anthony, I have enjoyed
that the most because I have had the opportunity to travel a lot. I'm
not just trying to kiss up, but it's true. Eve: Who or what inspires your creativity? Curtis: My children. Eve: How many children do you have? Curtis: Three. Two boys and a girl. Eve: Are they interested in music? Curtis: My daughter is, she is already playing. Eve: Have you participated in Marc's softball games? Curtis: YEP! I played in every one! Eve: Which position did you play? Curtis: Left, center and right field. Eve: What has been the most memorable thing about your career
so far? Curtis: (he says spontaneously) Well, playing with Marc! Eve: What kind of music do you listen to? Curtis: Latin Jazz. I listen to a lot of Carribean Jazz. Eve: Many of the band members have shared very funny stories
about the tour. What has been the weirdest or funniest thing you saw
while touring? Curtis: I think probably the times we had playing softball.
Because there were so many guys that had never even picked up a bat
in their hands, not even a glove, and I think that many of us had fun
with that. Eve: How does it feel for you when you return home on the island
to play? Curtis: Oh girl! That I can't explain. I was raised there. Eve: What town are you from? Curtis: I am from Humacao. Eve: Where is Humacao? Curtis: It's in the east part. Eve: This question I'm going to ask might make you blush because
I know you are very shy. Do you know that you, Bobby, and Eric are called
"the Bongo Babes" How does it feel to have that title? Curtis: (laughing) Well, it feels great to work next to two
incredible colleagues, incredible musicians. And, WOW! I didn't know
about that! In fact that question made me blush a little. Eve: Do you have a message you want to tell your fans? Curtis: Thanks so much for the support, I didn't know I had

musician, dead or alive, would you like to play with? Curtis: Tito Puente. Eve: Totally asks- Curtis, can you tell us what are the characteristics
that you admire or enjoy in the people you call friends? Curtis: Just from the band? Eve: It doesn't matter, friendships Curtis: Honesty, and that they have a good sense of humor. I
like to laugh a lot. Eve: Tammy928 asks, Do you tour with other artists besides Marc
or do you work in the recording studio with artists? Curtis: Kevin Ceballo and many artists that come from Puerto
Rico. Eve: Penny Rie asks, How has it been for you, to be part of
Marc's band and to experience feeling the love of La Familia and MAF? Curtis: I have felt like part of the Family. It's very nice,
and I am very grateful to be a part of La Familia. Eve: Delta says- First, thank you for letting us ask these questions.
One question is really tough but, I want to know how you began in this
business and how did you get into Marc's band? Curtis: I started playing music many years ago. Not professionally,
I started when I was young. Eve: Did you learn to play at school? Curtis: No, not in school. The talent came naturally. I didn't
take classes, but I studied with teachers. Eve: Tracey1015 asks- What thoughts run through your head when
you play that sweet music? Curtis: I just watch the audience to see if people are having
a good time and enjoying it. Eve: Well I think you guys enjoy it more when you see people
dancing, singing, and having a good time. Curtis: Absolutely! Eve: So you're not thinking about what's for dinner? Curtis: (laughing) No, no! Eve: Kristina asks: Curtis, why are you the only "bongo babe"
that sits? Curtis: (laughing) Eve: Kristina is pretty funny! Curtis: Well you know, I have thought a lot about that. Usually
that instrument is played sitting down. And now I'm going to have a
